How To Turn Your Android And iPhone GSM Phone To A Car Tracking Device

It is very interesting to discover that ,my android phone can be converted to a car tracking device by myself, and use it to track my car on realtime basis at a very cheap cost.Wow ! interesting.If you are  interested, all you need to do is to get yourself the following:

1. Android phone ( I use techno android)
2. Car charger
3. Long auto cables
4. Gsm Line
5. Data plan
6. A tracking software to be downloaded from  ttps://secure.accutracking.com/download/android
7. Monthly or yearly subscription to the tracking company which may be as cheap as $5 per month.      

Before you can use your phone as an efficient  car tracker  ,ensure that you have a very stable and reliable internet data plan on your phone from a reliable Gsm service provider.Although different service providers have different pricing .Therefore you can choose the one you think you can afford.Ensure that at all time you always recharge your internet data plan periodically,or better still pay for a year .Remember that the internet service providers are not responsible for the tracking.

Also note that the android phone you can only use must have GPS.

The GPS must  be turned on.The following steps are the ways to turn on the GPS of Your Phone.

Step 1

Go to the main menu of your phone, and click on the settings icon.

Step 2.

Click on the Location Access on the menu.

Step 3:

Click on GPS  ON icon  and  Access to my Location Icon also Wi-Fi & mobile network Location Icon .

Step 4:

Turn On the Data connection

You can see from the picture above that the GPS is ON and the data connection too is ON.

Step 5:

Download  the regular version of the tracking software from this following  site. ttps://secure.accutracking.com/download/android

Install the downloaded software on the phone.After installing the regular version on the phone ,click on the accutracking software icon ,it would appear like the picture below.You may enter the required options.

To enter the tracker ID you need to create an account with the accutracking.com.You would be given a tracker ID for the device after adding Unit to the account.You have one month free trial of tracking to enjoy from this site.Registration is free. After expiration of your free trial period ,you can decide to go for any of their payment plans.Take it from me, it is very cheap. SO go to

After registration and adding of your android phone unit to the account ,a series of number would be generated ,these numbers are the tracker ID.Enter this tracker ID on your phone and click  ok .Your phone is now configured and ready for tracking.Make sure you pass word the tracking application on your phone.This is to prevent unauthorized access.

Click on hide.You can now start tracking from the accutracking account on real-time basis.

NOTE:

Hot G.P.S option drains the battery quickly, I would advise you ,not to click on the Hot G.P.S option from the G.P.S settings.

Finally the phone is ready for tracking.Now on your account,click on 

Installing the phone on your Car .

Before installing the phone on your car ensure that you switch the ringer to silence,and make sure that the telephone numbers are not given to any body .This is to avoid incoming calls.Therefore ,it is advisable to get a new SIM card for this purpose only.

Step 1.

Modify the car charger by soldering two cable to negative and positive pole inside the charger,and extend it out side.The reason for this is that you are not going to plug the car charger to the cigarette lighter pot as usual .For security reason you are going to  solder the cables  behind the cigarette lighter pot for power supply. 

   

Having connected the wires to the car charger, screw it back.

Step 2:

Remove the cigarette lighter  from the pot and attach the wires from the car charger to it behind.Let the wire run through the dash board.Because the phone would be hidden inside the dash board,for security reason. You may hide it in any other more secured place you like,provided you can get a long wire to get the job done.

After wiring ,you can now plug the phone to the  car charger, and install it in hidden place inside the car.The reason for the charger is that the phone would always be charged at all time,as long as there is battery in the car.

Note.

For security reason do not tell anybody where you hide the phone in the car, or tell any one the wiring of the device (Phone ).

Remember to put the ringer to silence at all time.
