How To Replace Faulty Electrical Motor Of Power Window in Honda CRV 1999.

This step by step with pictures will guide you in fixing your faulty power window of  honda crv 1999 model.
Often times car owners  face this problem of faulty power windows,which may be caused by rust on the mechanism or faulty electrical motor of the mechanism.Sometimes the faulty power window may be caused by bad electrical relay or fuse.But if it is discovered that the fault is all about power window motor, the following steps can be followed to get it fixed.

Step 1:
Leave the door opened.



Step 2:
Unscrew the screws with star screwdriver from the following spots.




Step 3:
Remove the plastic cover of the door speaker with a flat screw driver  to get access to the screws.

Step 4:
Unscrew the screws from the holes.




Step 5:
Before removing the cover ,remember that there are clips below the cover,slightly pull the cover from the lower edges with your hands.Be careful ,do not get it damaged.


After gently pulling  the base edges, hold firmly and push the whole cover upwards. The cover will come out easily.Remember,handle with care.

Step 6:
Remove the bolts that hold the power window mechanism.







Step 7:       Unscrew the bolts holding the glass to the mechanism before embarking on removing the mechanism from the chamber

      Step 8 : 
     
      Now ,gently remove the mechanism from the chamber.



Step 9  : Remove the faulty motor and install the new one .                                                                                                                  
                   

Step 10: After installing the new motor and before re-installing the mechanism back to the chamber ,test whether the motor is working properly on the mechanism.If it does, then you can go ahead to fix back the mechanism to the chamber ,and the glass fixed on to the mechanism.You can now retrace the steps for dismantling the parts to assemble the parts back.And get your honda CRV power window  back for active duty. Good Luck.
